AT THAT TIME

In my project At That Time, I use found objects and sound to investigate the role of sensory experiences in nostalgia. I arrange dated tabletop sets and engage with the props to symbolize a series of events. The table functions as a stage, capturing the quick brutality of life. My choreography follows the rhythm of an edited, layered audio track of David Bowie's Let’s Dance. Print materials (script, playbill, and poster) provide context for this conceptual performance, where two matriarchs witness a 1980s Americana courtship interrupted by family tragedy.
